I just turned on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony before I go to bed* and HOLY SHIT was Prince’s guitar solo on “My Guitar Gently Weeps” was a mindboggling tour de force moment. Searing. Ostentatious and almost masturbatory to be sure, but mark my words – once that clip gets out on YouTube comparisons to Hendrix will be made.

Last night’s Tragically Hip show at the Town Ballroom, the first of three Hip shows in two days in our great city, was awesome- well worth waiting for the band until 9:30. The new songs rocked hard, the old songs rocked even harder, and the roof was raised. They are the best touring band around hands down.

2) They (Marvel Comics) killed Captian America! Well I guess it make sense considering they’ve already killed the American Dream…
3) I got called to be a GUEST DJ FOR 97 ROCK!! Sunday afternoon at 3 PM. Be sure to listen in on the FM band in WNY at 96.9 or online at http://www.97rock.com/ . It will be an Hour of Power indeed.
4) I get to go to the Sabres vs Avalanche game at the HSBC and welcome Chris Drury back with a standing ovation.
